About

Hello and welcome!

JoJoMy name is Johanna, or JoJo to most of my friends. I was born and raised on Bjäre Peninsula, south of Sweden.
I've always had a passion for animals and nature. I especially love my own Paradise where I live. Thanks to modern technology I've been able to come even closer to enjoy all the wonders of nature.

Now, after 25 years behind the camera I've had to stop. Sadly, my body, isn't on my side anymore. Thank heavens my Paradise is still around to be enjoyed and admired.
Over the years I've built up quite a collection of photos that I've now decided to share with you all in the hopes you will enjoy them as much as I do. That you will see the wonder of nature and that you will realise that these wonders take place at closer quarters than might expected.

When I was young I won an Amateur art show with my miniature oil paintings but decided to go for water colours. After discovering the wonderful world of the computer, I moved on to more digital production such as business cards, invitations(bridal, baptism and funerals), leaflets and websites. On a hobby level only.
In 2011 I entered an Amateur art show and much to my surprise, and joy, I came first. The price was to host my own exhibition the following year. It turned out to be a success.
In 2016 I was awarded the CBF Medal of Distinction by the Nordic Photo Club. I got my own page in their yearbook and an honorary mention.

Colour and shape have always been a great interest of mine. Therefore I've tried many techniques over the years but never had the physical nor the financial opportunity to get properly educated in any of them. Apart from photography and computer work, I have a strong passion for beads and jewellery design. I've mostly designed for myself, friends and family but I take orders from anyone who wants something special. I have had customers in Japan, the US and Europe.
Through the sale of my malas, buddhist rosaries, I support my friend, buddhist monk Pema Dorjees, with his help projects in Nepal and India. mala.tigerjojo.com
I've also started to venture into furniture design which is good fun.

All motifs are found and captured in, or nearby, my own Paradise here on Bjäre Peninsula.
